As the Pacific Pearl nears the end of her journey with the P&O fleet I thought I would take the time to say farewell.
I have been fortunate enough to travel on the Pacific Pearl four times with the most recent two trips only being a few weeks ago where I got to join the ship on her final departure from Sydney sailing to Auckland and then continuing on to the Bay of Islands over Waitangi weekend.
I have only ever cruised on board the Pacific Pearl so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but the experiences we have had were exceptional. From our rooms ( which have been in different categories each time ),to the food and entertainment. It was all amazing! However I think the main component that made every trip memorable were the incredible crew! The level of service provided by all crew members Pacific Pearl was outstanding, but for me the real stand out were our room stewards!
It was all the small little touches that really stood out for me. The cute towel animals the room stewards would leave on my sons bed for when we returned from dinner ( learn how to make a bunny here ) , the little chocolate on the pillow each evening, and the little “message from your steward” cards that they would leave at the start and end of our cruises ( would love to know where they get their quotes from? ). But most of all, anytime we saw our room stewards they would know us by name! How they could remember all of our names in such a short time is beyond me, but very appreciated!
I am really looking forward to our next cruise, and this time we will have the added excitement of exploring a new ship! Needless to say I am sure there will be the same level of outstanding service and I have no doubt that we will have an amazing experience!
Now we just have to make the tough decision on where to go and which ship to cruise on! Watch this space!
Farewell Pacific Pearl, thanks for the memories!
